This is a quick post. I had a friend of mine send me this article. I thought it was loaded with insight and hard scientific facts. Everything I have ever learned about nutrition and the metabolic processes of our bodies coincides well with what I read here. I hope it is of some assistance. Dad if you are reading this see the section on Diabetes. Good stuff.

Google Earth file for Georgia section of the AT.
The following link views the Georgia AT Trail data using Google Earth which is a powerful 3D viewer which allows viewing images of the entire earth. This free application is available from Google. (The Viewer must be downloaded and installed before using the following link. On a Mac the link will download a file to your Desktop whick when opened will launch the Viewer) This data will appear in the"Temporary Places" section of the Places window. You can expand the lists and select the detail you want to see.

If you have Google Earth, this thing is very helpful indeed. I love how it shows landmarks that you won't see anywhere else, like foot bridges. It also shows water sources and pictures as well as a trail delineater (red).
